Definition: This is defined as mechanical wear between opposing tooth and it commonly occur in combination with erosion. Usually effects the incisal edge and occlusal surface of opposing tooth.

Causes
a. Bruxism or other parafunctional activities, grinding habit due to –
    1. Emotional cause
    2. Some organic disease with cholera, Epilepsy,         maningitis
    3. GIT disturbance with helminthiasis.
